In March this year I made an ear ringingly short trip back to the UK for my Dad's 80th birthday. While I was there I caught up with many friends and family, including Helen.
We sat down in her beloved camper van (one of the few quiet places with a house full of guests) and she shared her story and how she survived the enormous grief after the loss of her son, and how even now, years later she and the rest of her family still feel the impacts. She speaks with sadness and humour (and just a touch of swearing). I'm extremely grateful to Helen for sharing this powerful and personal story. I hope you take away something from it.
